Welcome to your first urban retreat experience at earth & sky oasis!  Here are a few tips to help you know what to expect:

General Tips:
There is convenient parking just across the street at The Stockton/Sutter Garage.  Please note that holiday time and Saturdays can mean the garage is crowded - please give yourself time.

Don’t be in a rush to relax!  Please arrive 15 minutes before your first appointment.  Be aware we have comprehensive intake forms to fill out and you may want to relax, have some tea or water or chat with one of our staff.

We do not have a receptionist at earth & sky oasis.  If you arrive earlier than 15 minutes prior to your appointment, we may be in with clients.  Please come in, make yourself comfortable and we will be with you very soon.

We do not have showers, saunas or hot tubs.

Try not to drink a lot of caffeine 1 hour before your appointment.  It works as a diuretic, increases your feeling of anxiety and will make some treatments less comfortable.

Late arrival will necessitate shortening some treatments.

Massage:
Tell us your goals for the session.  Whether you have a specific pain, you need to relax or you’re going out afterwards and don’t want your hair a mess – let us know, we’ll tailor your massage to fit your needs.

The amount you disrobe is entirely up to your comfort level.  You will be covered at all times with a sheet and blankets.

You are allowed to talk during the massage – you can ask questions, make requests for the temperature in the room, the music we’re playing, the level of pressure you are receiving.

We have a hair dryer, water etc. for you after your massage session.

Facial:
No special preparation is required, just a few minutes to fill out a consultation form.  Come with or without makeup – a thorough cleansing is a part of every treatment.  We have a hair dryer, water etc. for you –
but be aware your hair will be wrapped, or covered during your treatment.  For men – most find it more comfortable not to shave the day of a treatment, it lessens the chance of irritation.

Waxing:
The use of Retin A or Accutane prohibits waxing.
Hair needs to be 1/4 inch long to be completely removed- coming in too soon after shaving gives an inconsistent result.
If scheduling waxing services the week before your period- be aware, it may be more painful.
NO sun for 24 hours after waxing.
For bikini waxing, we will give you paper panties to wear- this is to protect your own garments from wax, oil, etc.
Sorry, no Brazilian bikini waxing.  We are happy to give a referral.

Nail Care:
For pedicure clients, you may want to bring a pair of flip flops to wear after your appointment so your toe polish stays perfect!
