I was very pleased with my experience today at this spa. I was fortunate to have found it on http://yelp.com and the good reviews were true.  I came in a stressed out mom and left very relaxed and happy. When you walk in, there’s a very pleasant waiting room and tea that was offered was excellent. Everyone on the staff was very nice.  My masseuse, Jaymie, used just the right amount of pressure.  After my 90 minute massage, I was in a state of complete relaxation. I would love to go back for more treatments in the future and will definitely recommend this place to others. Also, I was very happy that they were able to accommodate me, being that this was a Saturday, and I called same day to book an appt.

Alright, the only reason I’m writing this review is because I now book my appointments well in advance. This is one of my well-kept secrets that I’ve shared only with close friends - who’ve all become repeat clients.  Jill Jodar gives the best facial in the City. In fact, the best I’ve ever had.  The first time I went (years and years ago thanks to a gift certificate from an in-the-know colleague) - it was like my skin had never seen the light of day before.  After that, I would go sporadically, but would always receive compliments about how good my skin looked after going to get a facial from Jill.  And when I was getting married, my make-up person warned me to not get a facial the day before the wedding because it could cause a red-effect.  But, I have never experienced that with Jill, and of course, the warning was not needed, thanks to the amazing facials that Jill gives.  The overall facial experience is heavenly with the added bliss of the massaging of the hands and feet.  I do have to say, there is some noise from the street below and it doesn’t quite have the full spa feel like International Orange or something.  But, the facials are seriously the BEST.  Go here if you want a good facial experience.  But, I warn you - you may be disappointed with every other facial you ever get from another source.  That’s been my experience.  Jill Jodar is my fav.

My husband and I celebrated our 5th anniversary with a couple massage at Earth & Sky. First and foremost, Kate & Jen made us feel comfortable and welcomed. It’s as if we were the only clients with an appointment for that day.
My husband works in finance and has been very tense. He had the pleasure of Kate’s miracle hands. Kate immediately noticed and took action. She gave him breathing techniques to help with the every day stress. Once he “blew away” his tension he was relaxed and able to enjoy the massage.
Jen was my masseuse. She used just the right about of pressure and made me feel like I was floating in air. All my cares were massaged out of my mind and body.
I’ve heard many people share stories about massages given with oils. How their bodies felt greasy after their massages and their clothes stuck to them. No oils were used on us at Earth & Sky Oasis. It was a lotion with a clean scent.
If we ever get the opportunity to go back to San Fran we will definitely call Earth & Sky for another appointment.

What a lucky girl I am to share my little oasis on Sutter Street!  My special corner is with Helen Tran.  I discovered “my Helen” over seventeen years ago when I first returned to make San Francisco my home.  She has taken care of me with her skilled hands and soothing spirit for all that time.  While I was working full time, she found the right appointment time for me and she still does!  I love the special massage of feet and ankles that are part of her pedicure.  She knows all the right pressure points.  And when time is short, the manicure is done as if by magic.  She has found a special niche at the Oasis, with colleagues like Kate and Jill.

Oasis in the bustling city! I’ve just become a super fan of this wonderful retreat hidden above the busy streets. I had a massage with Jaymie and it was so nice to talk to her before the massage instead of just getting right into it. She asked me questions about any health issues and problem areas I wanted her to focus on. I didn’t feel rushed at any point during my visit. When you roam the halls you might think you’re in an office building but they’ve added their touches to the massage rooms that are interspersed, and their lobby area that make it feel zen-like. The rooms were clean and spacious and I was repeatedly offered citrus water and warmly welcomed. Jaymie did a great job working out some of my high-tension areas and I left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. It’s conveniently located and parking is right across the street. I will definitely return.

Lately I have been stressed from wedding planning. I started to get paranoid, have nightmares and so on. So, I went on search for a spa place and found that “little heaven” that is exactly what I needed. I got “Delux Day Spa” today and had the most wonderful experience. The massage is grade “A+”, the facial is “A+” and mani-pedi…”A+”…… Woah, I am already trying to figure out how to reallocate some wedding budget for more of this…..BEST VALUE EVER….

I came here for pre-natal massage and my therapist was Jaymie.  I was a little concerned at first because it’s side lying but little did I know that this technique is so much better!  Jaymie is strong just how I like it.  I felt so much better after 90 minutes.  Kate and Jaymie are very nice and welcoming.
Earth & Sky is an urban retreat spa, it doesn’t come with shower rooms, sauna, jaccuzzi, special tevanas and other amenities you might be used to.  I haven’t tried their deep tissue massage but I can tell ya, their (mid priced range) pre-natal massage rocks.
I can’t wait to book for another appointment in the near future.

My husband and I have been really stressed out and when someone recommended a couples massage, my husband said no way. I was able to talk him into it, and he is SO GLAD I did! It was the best experience for both of us as a couple and individually. The spa is perfectly located right downtown, so it was super easy to get to, and its such a great spa. Incredibly inviting, professional and relaxing. Earth and Sky has both male and female massage therapists who independently worked with each of us before the massage to see what our individual needs were. The room was heavenly. Spacious, candle lit, quiet and cozy. The tables were plush, warm and inviting. I have carpal tunnel, so my massage concentrated on more deep tissue on my arms, neck and upper back. While my husband has lower back pain from driving too much. While working on our individual needs, it was an incredibly thorough massage, the therapist worked on my full body. After the massage, unlike MANY places I’ve had work done, they told us where they felt tightness, how we could alleviate it and gave us pointers/suggestions for the future. They didn’t try to sell us anything, they were sincerely looking out for our best interest which is hard to find these days. They also told us to drink a lot of water, I never knew that you should do that after a massage! We were incredibly relaxed after and went across the street to E&O Trading Co. for a fantastic lunch and talked about why our massuse(sp?) was better than the others. It was awesome. Can’t wait to do it again. And it was incredibly reasonably priced. Highly recommend Earth and Sky!

Kate’s a magician.  She’s a good listener, and I met her at the Light the Night Walk when ESO gave massages to walkers at the kickoff.  From there it’s been a routine to seek her out when I have back or shoulder trouble.  But it’s not just a massage, it’s an experience, what with music, fine scents and overall friendliness and professional attitude.  Very personal attention and great value.

I’ve been to a lot of massage places and it really doesn’t get much better than this.  It’s personal, professional, they listen to your specific problems and they’re nice.  Most larger places, Burke Williams and Bliss, have more elaborate lobbies and facilities but I’m there for a massage and my face is in a hole (in the massage table) for an hour anyways.  I even got a facial here and it was wonderful.  They even fed me and it was pretty good.

I visit SF every year, but I live on the east coast. I was looking for something that I could make multiple visits to.
I’m such a skeptic about female massage therapists. In the past, I’ve only come out tense and uncomfortable, so I tend to only request men. I decided to give this place a chance and see Kate. She was really nice when I made my reservation. The massage went well. Great pressure. My only complaint was that it wasn’t long enough.
I had never gotten a facial before, but Jill seemed to get great reviews, so I went ahead and booked. When Jill found out she was my first, she seemed SO excited. It was cute. Her voice is so calming, and I almost fell asleep on the table. It was amazing.
The building itself is less than mediocre, but the place is cute. I’d visit again.
Added bonus, when I finally got back home, I found a hand-written note from Kate in my mailbox. They definitely care, here. You’re not just another customer.

Eight months pregnant and having worked nine hour days at a desk for most of the time, I needed something to prepare me for the impending due date.
