Boutique Urban Retreat Makes Makes It Easy For Anyone To Be A Do-Gooder

From now until October 18th, 2007, earth & sky oasis urban retreat will contribute 15% of their profits from massage therapy, skin care and waxing services to the Greater San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk.

This “boutique” retreat – earth & sky oasis – began fundraising for Light The Night three years ago after one of their clients told them her husband had been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

“We realized we needed to do more. We were watching this incredibly strong woman care for her husband and two children and knew it wasn’t enough to provide her with frequent massage therapy and skin care,” admits owner and certified massage therapist, Kate Carroll. Ms. Carroll, together with licensed esthetician Jill Jodar, nail specialist Helen Tran and licensed acupuncturist and nutritional therapist Judy Komatsu, began a small team for Light The Night – Team earth & sky oasis.

“This year we really wanted to take our fundraising to a higher level,” says licensed esthetician Jill Jodar. “By looking at the most valuable thing we have, our skill and service, we felt it was the best way to generate the most money for this cause that’s so close to our hearts. Everybody wants to do some good – this way they can do good for others and for themselves.”

To participate, mention “Light The Night” when booking a massage, facial or waxing service and earth & sky oasis will automatically donate 15% of the service dollars upon completion of the appointment. There is no limit to the number of appointments or repeat services.
